In this study, the strengths and weaknesses of the ministry of information and culture of Afghanistan in management of Private T.V Stations were investigated. To achieve this goal, in addition to asking research questions, the concepts, topics discussed in media management and media theories were studied and then descriptive type and mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) were used. The sample population received a satisfactory answer to the research question by distributing a questionnaire and conducting interviews with experts from Afghan Journalists Union, TV staff and Ministry of Information and Culture of Afghanistan. The results of this study showed that the ministry of information and culture of Afghanistan was not very successful in managing Private T.V Stations. The strengths of this ministry in terms of media management were: issuing licenses to televisions, formulating broadcasting policies, passing the media law, providing a suitable platform for the activities of private T.V Stations, and in some cases managing televisions privately. However, the weaknesses of the ministry of information and culture of Afghanistan in the management of Private T.V Stations were: lack of rule of law, breaking the law by the ministry itself and etc. Therefore, media management by the ministry of information and culture of Afghanistan can make the performance of mass media activities more effective.
